CHANGAN originated from the Shanghai Arsenal, which was a pioneer of China's modern industry.
1937
It was renamed The 21st Arsenal in Chongqing, which was the largest military-industrial enterprise in China at the time and supplying 60% of the weapons and ammunition for the War of Resistance.
1981
The First Strategic Plan: transformation from military to civilian industries: Entered into the automobile industry through technical and trade cooperation and began to produce compact vehicles.
