Chongqing, 10 January 2025CHANGAN Automobile marked its 40th anniversary with record-breaking sales of 2.683 million vehicles in 2024, a 5.1% year-on-year increase and a new seven-year high. This exceptional performance, driven by a strategy of "steady progress and expansion" in a highly competitive market, demonstrates the effectiveness of Changan's "Three Major Plans," "Three Major Brands," and "Three Major Product Lines." The company experienced significant growth across key segments: independent brands reached 2.23 million units, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales surged 52.8% to 734,516 units, and international sales climbed an impressive 49.6% to 536,196 units. These results solidify Changan's position as a leading force in the global automotive industry and highlight its successful transformation into an intelligent, low-carbon mobility technology company.

Innovation Leap, Upward Breakthrough: Three Brands and Three Product Lines Achieve Outstanding Results

Changan NEV sales surged to over 100,000 units in November 2024, entering a period of strong growth. This is mainly attributed to the steadfast implementation of the "Mission of Shangri-La" electrification strategy, the "Dubhe Plan" intelligence strategy, and the "Vast Ocean Plan" global business strategy, as well as the application of digital intelligence and innovative technologies. The company has established three digital brands – AVATR, DEEPAL, and the CHANGAN brand – and three product lines – CHANGAN UNI, CHANGAN NEVO, and CHANGAN LCV – forming a more globally competitive product matrix. These efforts comprehensively support CHANGAN Automobile's growth in scale and value.

AVATR, positioned in the high-end emotional intelligent electric vehicle market, achieved impressive results in 2024 with a dual-power refresh, reaching annual sales of 73,606 units, doubling year-on-year. Its performance in the fourth quarter was particularly outstanding, with monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units for three consecutive months and reaching a new high of 11,067 units in December. AVATR also achieved significant milestones in the capital market, attracting over 11 billion yuan in Series C funding, with in-depth cooperation from  CATL and other partners injecting new momentum. DEEPAL, targeting young users, urban dwellers and families in the mainstream electric vehicle market, cultivates a technologically fashionable brand image. In 2024, DEEPAL delivered a total of 243,800 vehicles, with a record high of 36,577 units in December alone. At the end of December, Deepal's 400,000th vehicle rolled off the production line, achieving this milestone in just 29 months, setting a new industry record. With the continued success of models like the DEEPAL S05, S07, and L07, DEEPAL aims for global sales of 500,000 units in 2025.

CHANGAN NEVO, a new offering for the digital age, achieved cumulative sales of 146,300 units in 2024, with December sales exceeding 16,667 units, a 65% year-on-year increase. In just one year, CHANGAN NEVO has transformed from a "newcomer" to a "benchmark," winning high recognition from consumers with its product strategy of "leapfrog value + dimensionality reduction supply." In 2025, it will launch its new mid-to-large SUV, the C798 (officially named Q07), and two new models, internally codenamed C390 and B216, will also be officially unveiled this year.

CHANGAN UNI continues the momentum of the classic brand, with the fourth-generation CS75 PLUS driving monthly sales of the CS75 series to over 30,000 units. CHANGAN LCV, committed to becoming a leader in low-carbon intelligent logistics value innovation, achieved annual sales of 221,000 units in 2024, refreshed its brand logo to the "Cube Logo," and recently completed Series A financing exceeding 2 billion yuan, marking a solid step into the capital market.

Steady Progress and Expansion: 2024 Yields Fruitful Results in Digital Innovation

2024 was a year of continued progress for CHANGAN Automobile, with a clearer strategic transformation path, continuous structural optimization, and improved operational quality. Behind the simultaneous progress in sales, structure, and quality lies Changan's continuous technological advancements in new energy and intelligent vehicles. 

Changan's R&D strength continues to break through, building a global collaborative R&D layout across "six countries and ten locations" with an R&D team of over 18,000 people from 31 countries and regions. It has 16 technology research and product development centers and 17 technology companies. It has mastered 2,251 key technologies, including natural interaction, advanced intelligent driving, and three-electric system testing, and its R&D capabilities have ranked first in the industry in the National Enterprise Technology Center evaluation for 14 years across 7 evaluations. The construction of the Global R&D Center (Phase II) has commenced, aiming to become a top platform for scientific and artistic research in the Chinese automotive industry.

With a solid foundation in technical strength, guided by its innovative spirit and globalization strategy, CHANGAN Automobile has received a resounding "echo" in the market. Looking ahead, CHANGAN Automobile has announced ambitious "3311" development goals for 2025: 3 million total sales, 300 billion yuan in revenue, 1 million NEV sales, and 1 million overseas sales. 

Based on these sales targets, CHANGAN Automobile will launch 13 new energy products in 2025, including the AVATR 06, DEEPAL S09, and NEVO C798. In terms of new technologies, CHANGAN will continue to optimize power technologies such as low-temperature battery cells and fast charging. It will also continue to cultivate and rapidly iterate the CHANGAN Tops Chassis intelligent chassis and distributed electric drive, build the CHANGAN Tops OS operating system ecosystem, apply the CHANGAN Tops Model large language model, and create a CHANGAN intelligent driving system with a native end-to-end architecture for embodied intelligence, striving to become an industry leader by 2027.
