Samut Prakan – Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading NEV innovator under CHANGAN Automobile and the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop workforce skills for the modern automotive industry. The agreement was signed between 
Mrs. Jiravan Sutasuntorn, Deputy Director-General for Director-General, Department of Skill Development (2nd left); and Mr. Wu Xiaokang, Vice President of Human Resource at Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (3rd left).The signing was witnessed by Ms. Gao Ying, Vice President of Service Operations at Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., (far right) and Mr. Chatsada Chunaurai, Inspector-General, Department of Skill Development (far left). The event, held at CHANGAN After Sales Technical Support Center Southeast Asia in Racha Thewa, Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, also included a certificate presentation ceremony for 16 participants who completed the electric vehicle maintenance training course.

 

Mrs. Jiravan Sutasuntorn, Deputy Director-General, Department of Skill Development, said, “The automotive industry is one of the country's economic drivers and is facing changes from electric vehicle (EV) technology trends and intelligent driving systems, which require personnel with expertise and skills that meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's industry. This has created a high demand for electric vehicle maintenance technicians in the labour market. In this cooperation agreement, CHANGAN and the Department of Skill Development are collaborating through the Automotive Human Resource Development Academy (AHRDA) to develop training courses for electric vehicle maintenance and service. Training was provided to the Department's training personnel from April 21-24, 2025, so they can extend this knowledge to workers across 41 target provinces, with a goal of training 2,000 people nationwide. I would like to thank Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., for prioritizing human resource development and new knowledge to help develop electric vehicle maintenance workers' skills and capabilities further."

On this occasion, Changan Auto Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour, presented certificates to 16 trained personnel who successfully completed the electric vehicle maintenance course according to automotive service center standards. The partnership have also set a target to train 2,000 personnel nationwide by 2025, reinforcing their commitment to expanding knowledge transfer to Thai workers in the automotive sector.
